# OBBO Avocats launches OBBOT, the employment-law AI built by lawyers for businesses

[OBBO Avocats](https://obbo-avocats.com/) announces the launch of [OBBOT](https://obbot.ai/), a proprietary legal artificial intelligence solution born of the firm’s day-to-day practice of advisory work, collective bargaining and litigation in French employment and labour law.

In employment law, the way a rule applies is closely tied to the context in which it sits. The collective bargaining agreement, the other applicable agreements and the specific features of each situation can materially alter the analysis. OBBOT was designed to factor in these different layers of context and give businesses more precise legal information, directly linked to the texts that apply to them.

In practice, the user asks their question in natural language and OBBOT produces a sourced, verifiable answer based on the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement attached to the company, then connects them with the French Labour Code, case law and institutional publications from public databases (in particular Légifrance, KALI, Judilibre, EUR-Lex, BOSS and Urssaf). The answer distinguishes the applicable rule, its application in the company’s context and the sources against which each element can be verified.

## The lawyer remains part of the journey

OBBOT provides general legal information and is not a substitute for legal advice.

At any time, the user can forward their question, the generated answer, the sources relied on and the context of the conversation to the firm so that one of its lawyers can pick up the analysis, with every answer clearly identified according to its origin.

No conversation is forwarded without an express action by the user.

## Designed for professional use

OBBOT offers segregated company workspaces, profile-based roles and access rights, conversation history and export, and usage monitoring.

Data is hosted in France (Scaleway), encrypted in transit and at rest, and client content is not used to train the models.

A dedicated offering allows professional federations and trade organisations to roll out OBBOT to their members in line with their longstanding practices.

## A new stage in the relationship between lawyers and their clients

While new firms are now being built around so-called “AI-native” models, OBBOT illustrates another shift in the market: that of law firms developing their own artificial intelligence tools to enrich the relationship with their clients.

By giving businesses immediate access to an initial layer of contextualised legal information, then the ability to call on the firm directly when the situation requires deeper analysis, OBBOT creates continuity between the tool and legal support.
